About Me…
First of all, welcome to my world. It is so great to have you here. Here are some things about me so you can get to know me a little, virtually.
I am an emotional person, what can I say, I am a pisces. I LOVE being this way. Most songs can make me cry, even the happy ones, and especially Taylor Swift ones (hello fellow swifties!). I feel things deeply and I am connected to my emotions and trust their process.
I am confidently introverted. For me this means that alone time recharges me and the connections I have with people are always very meaningful and valuable to me.
I am my best self when I am camping, it is my absolute favourite thing to do. My favourite camping destination is in Kosciuszko National Park, but honestly, give me a tent, a river, a good book and a campfire and I am content, and I WILL resist leaving.
My dream day would start with waking up with the sun as it rises…
Filling my cup with a nourishing herbal tea brew and releasing my morning thoughts onto paper. Out of bed and into my body as I walk down our dirt road with my husband, George. Since we are talking dream days, I would ideally be foraging for flowers, making a bouquet to take back to our cosy home. Time connecting with nature is a must for me. Next, you would find me at the local markets, foraging again, for special touches for our home, precious and old. A diy project would have to be in the mix and a creative cook up for dinner. And would it be a dream day if there was not chocolate involved? I love an early bed time and an episode of adventure time before I rest my head again.
I am a natural homemaker. I will give credit to my mum, and her mum, for this one. They both know how to make a space beautiful and it is something I pride myself on. There is nothing like a gorgeously decorated room with the smell of baked treats in the oven and a vase of flowers on the kitchen table to top it off. I am at home when I am beautifying spaces and homemaking.
My approach and philosophy
I first came into contact with menstrual cycle awareness when I came off the pill at 21. I had been on it since I was 15 and never really knew much about periods or menstrual cycles, but had this curiosity and innate proud feeling towards my own menstruality. After coming off the pill, I was hit with a truck load of hormones. For me this meant realising “oh I do have sexual desires,” and “oh how I show up changes day-by-day," and I regularly had what I like to call an existential crisis every month around the pre-menstrual phase, which I now know how to channel with more discernment. As I learnt more about my cycle, I was fascinated about the different phases and the hormonal changes that dictate how we relate to every aspect of our lives. It was like lightbulb moment after lightbulb moment, and I knew I had found the key to understanding who I was - a cyclic being. And from then on, life got SOOOO much sweeter. It gave me understanding of who I am, how to be cyclic in a linear world, how to feel confident in being inconsistent, and so much more.
To me,
menstrual cycle awareness
IS so much more than
tracking your cycle.
Our menstrual cycles are a source of insight, wisdom, and an opportunity to understand the beautiful complexity of who you are.
Having a menstrual cycle connects you with nature, it allows you to show up in different ways and lean into the wonderful ever changing nature that comes with being a woman.
This ever-changing-ness is the thing that we have not been told to be proud of, or taught to harness. My purpose lies in guiding women to step into this cyclic power they innately hold, and begin to work with and not against it. What lights me up is supporting women to be proud of fluctuating, to feel empowered by their body, and to allow their own cyclic insights to guide them towards feeling worthy, comfortable in their authenticity, and make change towards living a life that is whole and aligned for them.
I deeply trust my clients and their insights, and allow this to guide our journey together. I take a warm, real, authentic and grounded approach in holding space for women. I am connected to the flow of nature, and I draw wisdom and inspiration on how to better our lives from it.
I know the power of menstrual cycles from my own encounter with its magic.
